A homeschooling mom's view on life: what the kids are doing for school and how well they are doing, resources we are using and extracurricular activities, home life, books and movies I'm watching or reading, and anything else worth talking about.

Dancing Together
Yesterday was the first day of Lyssa and Kyla being in the same dance class. They were very excited about dancing together, but Rae and I were a little worried about them distracting each other. Overall they did good (better than we expected). They both listened very well at first but as class went on Lyssa kept touching and hugging Kyla and would not leave her alone. The teacher handled it very well, even though she had to be stern with Lyssa a few times. After class the teacher asked Rae and I, "Are they cousins?" pointing to the girls and after we said yes she looked relieved, "well, that makes more sense". I had forgot to mention it before the class started so she didn't know they were related and must have though Lyssa was hassling some random other girl. She said that about 1/2 way through class she say me and Rae talking outside and realized they must be cousins. ooops, my bad, lol Knowing that in advance she should be able to keep them separate a bit more next week and Rae had a talk with Lyssa and will remind her to leave Kyla alone during class next week.
