"Ping u, Ping u, Ping u" Lyssa standing in the hallway "ringing" a doorbell and waiting for Kyla to go "let her in". The problem is that Kyla isn't playing right now, she is curled up in my lap with her face buried in my chest. So Lyssa is left in the hallway "Ping u, Ping u, Ping u".
I call to her "Come in Lyssa", this worked the last time, but not this time. She stays in the hallway determinedly "ringing" the doorbell. Rae and Glen are sitting on the couch and Rae tells him to "Go let her in". lol, he gets off the couch and "opens the door" for Lyssa who is still standing patiently and ringing away.
It's so funny how devoted they can be to whatever it is they are pretending and you just have to play along. It's not funny when Lyssa and Kyla fight over an imaginary object....ok, it is funny...but frustrating. When the best solution is to go and "take" the object from Lyssa, tell her not to "take it from Kyla again", then "give" it back to Kyla "here you go, don't let her take it again". sigh...because telling Kyla "just pretend you still have it, she didn't really take anything from you" doesn't work.
