This is my youngest daughter Raye with the top of a block sorting toy. This is not an accident, she did on purpose. But apperently she is not sure why she put it on her foot since she is complaining about it being there.
So I pull it off, and what does she do? She whines and reaches for it and when I give it back she sits it on the floor and proceeds to put her foot in it again. She makes her happy "look what I did!" noise and face.....and then starts whining that her foot is stuck....sigh.
We repeated this a few times before I just let her be and she figured out how to take it back off on her own. And after taking it off all by herself was she as proud as when she put it on? No. She just pulled it off, dropped it at her feet and walked off. The lid is still sitting where she left it.
I really wonder what she was thinking. Why did she want it on her foot in the first place? What did she think it would do that she was so unhappy with it being on her foot after she got it there? And if she was so proud of herself for putting it on why wasn't she just as happy that she could take it off on her own as well?
